John Edwin Roberson and Family
We are heart-broken that Edwin Roberson (also known as John and "Woody") passed away from a long and courageous battle with leukemia.
He is survived by his devoted wife Lorna, who lives in the resort town of Virginia Beach, VA., and a lovely daughter named Cathy (with his previous wife Grace - whom we still love).
Edwin was a profoundly good man who loved to tease and have a good time. He was born in Robersonville, NC, and had retired from the Virginia Beach City Public Schools after 38 years of service, during that time he served as a mathematics teacher, assistant principal and mathematics coordinator. He was a past President of the Kempsville Lions Club and a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Edwin was a member of the Virginia Beach Tennis and Country Club. He loved to play tennis and was a member of the Senior Doubles Championship Team that won the national championship three times.
Without "Woody's" tremendous warmth,wit, and handsome smile, the world will forever be a less kind and a less interesting.place.
